Not every couple can afford to host a five course meal for their guests at 6PM on a Saturday night. So, consider having a late breakfast or brunch or afternoon tea party. No only will a "lite fare" reception or party save you a substantial amount of money, it also eliminates the need for a three tiered cake and/or champagne and/or open bar.
