  Question:  We want to renew our vows.  Do we repeat the words we said when we got married or something else?

 Response:  Some members of the clergy use the original wedding ceremony words and some create a different ceremony.  There is no right or wrong.  A Renewal of Vows Ceremony has no rules or regulations or protocol.  A Renewal of Vows does not have to meet any legal criteria like a wedding ceremony does.

If you are going to use an aisle runner make sure it is secured to the ground or grass.  If you can't find anything to use, use large rocks or bricks or lanterns to secure the aisle runner. Do not use PLASTIC aisle runners.  Why?  They are slippery!  Your grandparents can fall, your bridesmaids can fall and YOU can fall!

Question from a Bride and Groom:  What happens if we miss our plane and we can't get our Marriage License in time for our wedding the next day, a Saturday?

Response:  You will be given the opportunity to have a Commitment Ceremony which is similar to a Wedding Ceremony except the words "Bride and Groom" cannot be used or "a pronouncement of marriage" can not be declared.  In other words, you are NOT legally married at the end of a Commitment Ceremony.  Or you will be given the opportunity to postpone your ceremony until you do have a VALID Marriage License.

Response:  Yes  If you are setting up an archway, if you are setting up chairs, if you are decorating the ceremony area and if you are having more than FIVE people then you need to get a beach wedding permit.  You are conducting personal business on property that is either owned or managed by the county.
