Beach theme ceremonies, Christian Ceremonies, Interfaith Ceremonies, Non-religious Ceremonies, Romantic Ceremonies and Spiritual Ceremonies (mentions God). Yes, I have done many "short notice" ceremonies. In Florida, only ONE signature is required on the Marriage License, the officiant's signature. I have performed many "just the two of us" ceremonies.

Did you just get engaged?

If you received a wedding proposal during the "holiday season" then you engagement announcement or engagement party/dinner should be held on or before Valentine's Day.   Yes, your engagement announcement should take place within four to six weeks of the proposal.

And the couple should NOT host their own engagement party or dinner unless there are no other choices or alternatives.  The couple should be the "honored guests" not the hosts of the party or dinner.
