Q is for quilt, a Bride's quilt. For many years when a woman became engaged either she, the Bride, or her Mother or the Groom's Mother made a quilt for the Bride and Groom's new home together.
The quilt may have been made of many pieces of leftover fabric or old clothing as in the "patchwork" style or it could have been something created in silk or velvet just for that Bride and Groom with embroidery or decorative accents.
