Question of the week . .
What would you do if the Groom's Mother was trying to "control" your wedding ceremony?
Scenario . . Just recently a Bride and Groom made an appointment with me to discuss their wedding ceremony. The appointment was made by the Groom. Much to my surprise, the Groom's Mother came with them also. Within ten minutes of their arrival it was very obvious that the Groom's Mother came with "an agenda," . . and that was to control the actions and words spoken during the wedding ceremony. The Bride sat in her chair, very meek and mild, listening to her future Mother-in-law telling me, the Officiant, what she wanted me to say and do during the ceremony. And just like that, the Bride got up from her chair and announced, "This meeting is over. I'm leaving." And with that she walked out of the office and headed towards the car. I will never forget the look on the Groom's Mother's face when the Bride announced that the meeting was over and then walked out.
So my question to you is . . What would you do?
