Question from a Bride and Groom . .

I just ordered a small round wedding cake for cutting and photographs but I really don't like cake.  My Mother is a great pie baker; and since we are having a "desserts only" reception after our sunset wedding she suggested adding a couple of pies to the dessert table.  Got any ideas for pies for a July wedding?

You certainly can't go wrong serving these two pies, Blueberry Cream Pie and Peach-Raspberry Pie, which are very eye appealing and a great way to use three summer fruits.

 And, may I also suggest, adding some orange or lemon shebert or bing cherry or coconut gelato with some cookies and/or brownies to your buffet table.  And if you are having children at this reception, include a variety of popsicles or mini ice cream cones.
