Attended the grand opening of THE WEDDING PLACE featuring The Perfect Dress, The Perfect Setting, and The Wedding and Event Resource Center on Thursday evening, November 18, 2010. Both Kristi Dole (of Something Blue Bridal Boutique) and Linda Shepherd (of A Victorian Bride Hair & Makeup on Location) are renting rooms there. THE WEDDING PLACE is located at 5109 South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota (which is across the street from The Landings mini mall area). You will be impressed with the facility and all of the wedding resources available! Good luck!!! And as I was leaving I met Gerald Walker and his assistant (of Sundance Catering & Events) walking through the catering area. Yummm!
Stopped in to see Dee Baker on Friday, November 19 for the grand opening of her new bakery . . DEEZINER CAKES AND PASTRIES on Tamiami Trail in Venice (near the Rattan and Wicker Furniture Store. Lots of wedding cake samples, cookies, and pastries filled the cases. Order one of Grandma Hattie's flaky crust pies at 941-716-4196. The oatmeal raisin cookie I sampled was delicious!
