According to "The Knot" the average length of a couple's engagement period is fourteen months.
I once knew of a man who proposed on a Tuesday evening and they were married the following Saturday night.
I know of a couple who became engaged about ten years ago . . and in that time period they have traveled extensively and purchased a second home together. And they still haven't set a wedding date.
