My Mother-in-law's closest friend never gave us a wedding gift even though she told several people that she was going to give us something "grand." The wedding occurred in April. What should we do?

Absolutely nothing until a year passes. Wedding guests have one year to give a wedding gift, maybe she is making you something "grand."
