L is for lingerie. Traditionally, the Bride was presented with an assortment of beautiful lingerie at her bridal shower. And either the Bride's Mother or the Groom's Mother presented the Bride with a matching peignoir (a loose fitting coat) and gown set at the lingerie shower to take on her honeymoon.
