Want an easy theme for your October wedding?  Apples . . . red apples or Granny Smith green apples or bright yellow Delicious apples or the combination of several colorful apples.

You can greet your guests at the reception with a "Red Apple Crisp" beverage which consists of spiced rum, cranberry juice, red apple liqueur and club soda accented with a red apple slice and/or bobbing cranberries in the glass.

You can serve "Cranberry-Apple Crisp" for dessert at your rehearsal dinner or party.

You can serve "Maple Apple Pudding"  and/or "Fresh Apple Cake" as desserts at your wedding reception or at the "morning after brunch."

In lieu of floral centerpieces, put a basket of fresh mixed apples on each dinner table and on the dessert table.  Put a "Help Yourself" sign and small bags next to each basket of apples.

And what's better than serving your guests warm apple cider doughnuts and a cup of cocoa as your reception comes to an end on a fall evening.

The recipes for the Cranberry-Apple Crisp, the Maple Apple Pudding, the Red Apple Crisp drink and the Fresh Apple Cake can be found at http://www.midwestliving.com.
