Questions from Brides and Grooms . .
We have decided not to serve any alcoholic beverages at our backyard reception. Will our guests think we're being cheap? Should we pass this information on before our wedding? And, if we tell our guests that we are not serving alcoholic beverages, will they try to bring their own beer and wine to our home?
Response . .
When you host an event, you "write the rules" which means you decide what food and beverages are going to be served. I suggest having a colorful display of fruit punches and an assortment of ice cold sodas. And I would also tell your guests who RSVP they are attending your reception that liquor will not be served and please do not bring any alcoholic beverages to your home.
