Having one set of "good knives" is good BUT having two sets of "good knives" is even better. 

If both of you like to cook or if you have both an indoor and outdoor kitchen then you need two sets of good knives.

So, may I suggest putting two different sets of knives on your bridal shower or wedding registry list, and by the word "different" I mean two different styles and/or two different manufacturers so you know exactly who that set belongs to or where it belongs.
