Don't create a wedding for others at the expense of your wishes.  Focus on the kind of celebration you want, not the one other people expect you have.

In other words, if you are NOT the type of person to wear a ball gown and full length lace veil then DON'T BUY ONE just to please your Mother or Grandmother.  Your wedding gown should make you happy!
