Question from a Bride and Groom . .
How can we stretch three bottles of sparkling wine/champagne to serve about twenty people at a brunch?
Response . .
For each bottle of sparkling wine/champagne that you are using
Put 1 cup of cold lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7-UP) in a large pitcher.
Add 1 cup of assorted fresh (or thawed frozen) berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries or strawberries)
Add one half of a 12 ounce can of frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
And one bottle (750 ml) of chilled sparkling white wine or champagne
Combine these ingredients. Stir gently. Serve immediately. Each batch should serve about 8 people or a total of 24 guests.
You can make a non-alcoholic version of this by substituting 3-12 ounce cans of orange flavored sparkling water, chilled, for the white wine or champagne.
