Establishing a budget for your wedding should be the very first item on your "to do" list. Why? Because there is nothing more humiliating or embarrassing than having to cancel your three-tiered wedding cake thirty days before your wedding because you cannot afford to pay for it. So my question is . . Did you establish a budget for your wedding, and what were the results?

Just had an E-mail question from a Bride and Groom. Do we have to have bridesmaids and groomsmen and a flower girl?
Answer: No, you do not. If the state that you live in requires two witnesses to sign the marriage document then any two people over the age of eighteen years old attending your ceremony can sign.

Just got an E-mail from a Bride and Groom. They wanted to know if they should send a wedding invitation to family members and friends that they knew would not be able to attend the wedding.
My answer: you should never assume that someone cannot attend your wedding. Send them the invitation and let them make the decision.

According to shine.yahoo.com "the 7 biggest fattest wedding complaints" are (1) cash bar (2) big journey, small bites (3) all fried food (4) no veggie options (5) never ending waits for food services (6) running out of the big ticket entree (7) the wedding cake face smash.
And here's some other complaints that should have made that list . .
(1) the wedding ceremony starts late
(2) a million and one photographs are taken between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception, and as a result the guests have to wait and wait and wait for dinner
(3) the best man is unprepared to make a toast, and he just rambles on and on and on

Attended the Open Network Group of Venice (FL) today. A fine group of business men and women who promote their business and community through their positive actions.

On the TV show "Who's Wedding Is It Anyway" today, the event planner questioned the Bride's theme colors and her choice of several decorative items. So, my question is, "Would you want your planner or coordinator to make suggestions that may improve the look and feeling that you are after?"

Our beautiful white sand beaches in Sarasota County (Florida) are open for business and pleasure. Get married in Sarasota County or honeymoon in Sarasota County. There's lots to see and do in the Sarasota County area. Where's Sarasota County? It's south of Tampa and north of Fort Myers. You can fly into the Orlando Airport or the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport or the Fort Myers Airport. Even Venice has an airport for small or private planes.
